Nestled in a secluded olive grove just 15 minutes drive from the ancient town of Iznajar, the "La Casita' one bedroom apartment offers peace and tranquility set against a backdrop of glorious mountain views. The property comprises: an open plan kitchen and dining area, fully equipped with TV/ DVD player, microwave, hob, fridge with freezer compartment, and kitchen utensils. The apartment has one bedroom with TV (UK channels) and an en-suite shower room. From the bedroom there is direct access to a private south facing sun terrace, equipped with sun loungers, dinning table and chairs and gas BBQ. From here there are spectacular views over the mountains and olive groves. ** NEW FOR 2018, all guest bedrooms have air conditioning and full central heating!**
Guests can relax by the swimming pool (shared with one other property) or wander through the gardens and olive grove. The local hamlet of La Parrilla is just 10 minutes walk and offers two bars selling local Spanish wines, beers and tapas dishes.

Breakfast
Served daily between 8am and 10am on the south-facing terrace with beautiful views over the olive groves . Choose from a buffet of cereals, fresh seasonal fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice (from our own trees), tea and coffee, yoghurts, jams and honey, smoked Spanish hams, cheeses, croissants, baguettes and cakes. (For non-inclusive guests, 10€ per person.)
Supper
We invite guests to join us on three evenings per week to sample some delicious Andalucian cuisine - paella, tapas and a traditional Spanish barbecue.
Paella Evening, with sumptuous chicken, seafood, chorizo and vegetables slow cooked outdoors in an authentic cast iron pan
Tapas Evening, we offer a range of delightful meat, fish and vegetable tapas served in traditional glazed terracotta bowls.
Barbecue Evening, choices include local meats marinated in spices and roasted over olive wood. Fresh local fish served with salads and salsas.
Your holiday at La Casita offers a wealth of activities to enjoy, including visiting some of the most magnificent ancient sites in the world - the Alhambra Palace at Granada or the mighty Mezquita Cathedral & Mosque at Cordoba. Guests seeking outdoor pursuits can fish or hire canoes at Lake Iznajar, just a short drive from the property, or bike ride through the trails in the surrounding countryside.
The sun-kissed beaches of the Costa del Sol are just an hour away by car. There are so many superb resorts to choose from - the pretty seaside town of Nerja to the east of Malaga offers fine beaches and restaurants set in a rugged coastline and famous caves. To the west of Malaga, if celebrity watching is your thing, then head for Marbella with 23 beaches along its 27km coastline. Here you can watch magnificent sunsets whilst sipping your favourite cocktail in one of the many smart quayside bars.
Whilst you're at the coast, a trip to Malaga is well worthwhile. Visit the old Moorish Fortress, known as the Alcazaba, where you can walk the ramparts and view the walled gardens. Malaga is the birthplace of Picasso and the Picasso Museum is a must for all art lovers.

Let me start by saying the 5 stars are just not enough to describe our overall experience at Casa Limon. We travel frequently and we opt for self-accommodating over hotel whenever possible, so, over the years, okay, decades, we have been in and out of many properties. We selected this property in Andalusia based upon the positive reviews, and we feel it is now an honor to add to the growing list of very happy clients. The owners, Tony and Sue, are the very best communicators, from the get go. We had answers to all of our questions before we arrived as well as detailed, step-by-step, driving directions to the property. We stayed in the casita, which was more than adequate for two people staying 8 nights. We had plenty of space for unpacking our bags and stowing our gear in the large dresser, the two nightstands, and the large closet. The bathroom space was also roomy, with a large stand up shelving unit to hold all the toiletry essentials. My husband noticed right away the extra supplies that were provided (we've often had to purchase our own paper products), and the quality of the linens in the bathroom and the bedroom: WHITE, high thread count sheets and wrap-around-a-body size, absorbent towels. And about the bed...COMFORTABLE! As Goldilocks would say, the mattress and pillows were "just right". We had plenty of hot water for showers in the morning, heated towel bars, and 2 hairdryer options - divine! We took advantage of the well-equiped kitchen to create our own meals, but the BEST meal we had during our 8 night stay was the homemade paella offered as a "dining in" option at Casa Limon. Sue is a fabulous cook, and we would highly suggest signing up for one of her dinners, it will be excellent value for money! And speaking of food, HANDS DOWN the Marshalls put out the best welcome basket for their guests! There are so, so many sites to visit in the area and Tony was always on hand to respond to questions we had about where to go, how to get there, and even, where to park. They have obviously fallen in love with the area and are excellent references. If you are looking for a comfortable, CLEAN, lovingly decorated, beautifully landscaped, QUIET place to call home while you're exploring the wonders of the Andalusian region then give this property serious consideration. The route appears a bit remote at first, but once you arrive you'll understand that in this case the journey is truly about the destination: Muchas Gracias,
We have stayed in many self-catering properties over the years but none of them come close to the wonderful experience we enjoyed at La Casita! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. The apartment is beautifully presented, very, very clean, neat and tidy with everything you could wish for. The views from the large private terrace are amazing, the gardens are immaculately kept and our hosts were, quite simply, first-class. This is a great location as a base to explore all of the historic sites with easy road links to Granada, Malaga, and Cordoba. The local town of Iznajar is beautiful with wonderful lakeside walks and some good traditional Spanish restaurants. We've only just left this place and already we want to come back! Thank you once again Sue and Tony Marshall for making stay so memorable.
Beautiful apartment, very private and very well equipped. Very, very clean and great attention to detail. Without doubt, this is the best self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. First-class in every way!
We had a fantastic short break in Andalucia. The La Casita apartment was superb, with its own private terrace and great views over the beautiful olive groves. The weather was in the mid to high teens, lots of sunshine whilst the apartment has central heating to take away the January evening chill. Our hosts were first-class, making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. On arrival Sue and Tony gave us a lovely welcome pack consisting of wine, fruit, cakes, chocolate and much more. They were amazing hosts, and the entire property was spotless and really well kept. This is a great place to base yourself for a relaxing out of season sight-seeing holiday - we visited the Alhambra in Granada, an easy drive of just over an hour and we also went to Jerez on a sherry tasting excursion! Malaga airport is less than an hours drive and we spent some time at the coast exploring Marbella and Fuengirola. We desperately want to return here later this year now that we have found such a beautiful place to stay!
The apartment is well-equipped and spotlessly clean with stunning views from its own private terrace. Peace and quiet is what we came for and that's exactly what we got. Our hosts, Tony and Sue, were great making sure that we had everything we needed. This is the real Spain just an hours drive from Malaga airport. We can't wait to return!
