More recently, excavations have highlighted the remains of the Roman past of Uzès with magnificent mosaics that appear to have been the floor of the residence of a remarkable 1st century BC.
In the surroundings, you will find many villages famous for their characters and their beauty (Saint Quentin la Poterie ...), as well as a beautiful nature, allowing the cultivation of famous products (olive oil, fruits, vegetables, asparagus, vines). The region is famous for its wines at affordable prices.
Near a jewel: the Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, classified as World Heritage by Unesco.
You can also visit Nîmes (25 km), Avignon (35 km), Baux de Provence, Arles (65 km), Marseille and Cévennes.
