Villa Romantique is a beautiful and spacious stone-built residence in Provence situated just 14 miles south-west of the wonderful city of Avignon in the 'golden circle' created by Avignon, Saint Remy de Provence, Arles, the Camargue, Nimes, Uzes and the Pont du Gard. There are no fewer than 6 UNESCO World Heritage sites within 45 minutes of Villa Romantique.
You will be pleased to know that we have owned Villa Romantique for over 23 years - and we still love it as much as ever.
With 6 bedrooms, 5 shower rooms and 5 WCs, a large kitchen and 3 reception rooms it offers spacious interiors, rare privacy, and genuine architectural charm, and with a truly unique Romanesque-style circular private pool.
Set on a hilltop, the villa enjoys far-reaching views across the Rhône Valley for up to 40 miles towards the Luberon, Mont Ventoux, Mont Victoire and the iconic landscapes that define this celebrated region. Surrounded by aromatic gardens filled with lavender, oleander, wisteria, pine and olive trees, the property blends historic character with modern comforts.
Centering around an original circular stone tower with windows certainly dating from the 1820s, Villa Romantique has been thoughtfully renovated to create stylish and welcoming accommodation with authentic Provençal features, whitewashed beams, impressive stone fireplaces, and generous living spaces ideal for both small and large groups. The layout offers 6 well-appointed bedrooms, 5 bath/shower rooms,and 5 WCs, an impressive dining room, 2 large lounges, a comprehensively equipped kitchen, extensive outside dining terraces and a captivating tower rooftop terrace providing extraordinary views.
Outdoors, guests enjoy a totally unique Roman-style circular swimming pool with illuminated colonnades, a poolside summer kitchen and traditional stone-built BBQ, a poolside shaded lounge, sunbathing terrace, and several outdoor dining areas, and a picturesque pond garden with a historic mill-stone table. A mature garden with a high wall all around it and large electronically-operated gates ensure privacy, security, exclusivity and a serene environment with many shaded and sunlit areas for relaxing throughout the day.
Private parking for 6 or more cars, a boules area, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, and year-round comfort further enhance the experience. Whether for a couple seeking tranquility or a larger party of up to 12 guests (or up to 16* - see below), Villa Romantique offers exceptional space, privacy, and antique Provençal style—making it one of the region’s most desirable holiday villas.
In the corner of the garden there is an optional extra 1-bedroom self-contained cottage for 2 to 4* more people if required, therefore we can accommodate up to 16 people if required (please enquire). If you do not wish to rent the cottage then rest assured that it will remain empty and unoccupied during your stay. House Rules
Weekly Prices: VERY IMPORTANT. So as not to discourage smaller party number,to be fair to you, smaller groups pay less, although no part of the villa or any of the bedrooms will be closed off to you. WE HAVE A SLIDING SCALE OF CHARGES so that a smaller number of visitors pay less. Please deduct £100 from the weekly price for every person FEWER than 12 in your group. For instance, for a party of 7 people (i.e. 5 fewer than 12) deduct 5 x £100 (i.e £500) from the weekly price. The optional extra self-contained cottage in the corner of the garden is an extra £450 to £850 per week depending upon the time of year See the last 11 photos on the slide-show. Note : If you do not want it or need it, rest assured that it will remain empty and unoccupied during your stay. We never let it as a separate booking. Very sorry but we do not accept all-male or all-female parties at Villa Romantique.Taxes
