Cal Pep is situated in the heart of the historic centre of La Nou de Gaia with its winding streets it is always peaceful and yet within a short drive you can be on a glorious sandy beach or eating in one of the outstanding local restaurants. The house has recently been rebuilt on the site of a ruined cottage to create a light, airy and spacious home. The entrance hall is large and cool and in the style of many Catalan village houses, this all changes as you go through to the main living area. An enormous kitchen dining area opens onto a large terrace with wonderful views. The living room with fireplace, large sofas and chairs opens onto a covered terrace.
The main bedroom has a small balcony and the attic study/optional extra bedroom 4 has two sunny terraces, and all the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Every window in the house has a fabulous view. Overlooking the living room is a gallery area with additional seating providing a quiet and cool place to read and enjoy the views.
In the basement is a games room with a table tennis table. We keep two bikes at the house for guests to use.
La Nou is located just 15 minutes drive from the ancient Roman capital of Tarragona and only 10 minutes from some of the most stunning beaches on the Costa Daurada. The Universal Studios theme park is just under half an hour away and Barcelona close enough for a day's outing. An ideal base for keen walkers and bird watchers, and for exploring Catalonia away from the tourist bustle. Our local coastal towns of Torredembarra and Altafulla whilst busy in the summer are enjoyed by families from Barcelona and inland cities, no high rise hotels or coaches!
Spend the morning on a beautiful nearby beach, have a leisurely lunch by the sea at one of the outstanding local restaurants, and then enjoy a restful siesta at Cal Pep!l.
Cal Pep is available for letting from 1st June until 30th September each year. Please get in touch for more information about availability at other times.
NB - there is a double sofa bed in the attic room (with its own bathroom) available for extra guests for which we charge an additional fee.
